1. It took two of us to break the upper ball joints free using this massive tool. One of us pushed from one side while the other pulled on the breaker bar. The ball joint was rusted in place but the breaker bar did not even flex. The upper ball joint lost the battle and we were victorious! This breaker bar is the real deal for projects that require something that makes you feel like a pro! It is the difference between can you do it with what you got, or do you want to do it the right way in less time without damaging the project or yourself!
2. when you read 40", its hard to fathom that size. Its so big, it doesn't fit in my huge Costco-sized tool box. I had to break some large bolts which were torqued to over 250 lb ft. I tried to use my 1/2" breaker bar with a cheater bar, but it didn't budge. Using this monster, I barely had to push to get the nut off. Its awesome. In between uses, I can put it on criminals and pin them down like Thor's hammer until the police arrive.
3. I broke a Craftsman 1/2" breaker bar trying to remove a 30mm nut on my backhoe. Bad decision on my part as the 1/2" was really too small for the 30mm socket. I got the nut off with the 3/4" Tekton and a 6 foot cheater bar. I'm not a big guy but I can destroy any breaker bar 1/2" and down. I can't understand why they even make 3/8" breaker bars
