This is a thick, bark edged slab of Pecan wood.
I think this would make a very interesting rustic shelf or narrow tabletop.
NOTE: this is a rustic, rough cut piece if wood. It is not perfectly flat, but close. There are deep saw blade marks and inconsistencies in the surface. There is a very slight bow to the overall length.
Does not include the simple wood display table
Pecan is a very hard wood similar to Hickory. This is a heavy piece- very durable.
It is just about 48 1/4 inches long.
It is approx 9-14 inches wide to the outside bark edge. It averages around 10-11 inches wide.
It is approx 1 7/8 inch thick.
My moisture meter reads 9%.
If you need additional picture angles of a certain area please let me know.
The coarse bark edge is mostly intact with chips missing.
The photos show both sides. Some rough, frayed edges and some deep wood natural grain cracks may be found.
It was misted with water to help show the finished color in most of the photos.
I did allow a mild rustic mill blade marked surface and some surface irregularities.
These are beautiful rustic pieces with occasional chips, cracks, frayed edges, etc.
Please carefully consider if pieces this rustic will meet your needs.
There is no extra sanding, planing or drying.
The slab is not perfectly flat but close.
