    Description

    This is a wonderful authentic Victorian ladies Black Ladies Horsehair Mourning Hat dates to the 1860's civil war era. The top of the hat is covered in a woven horsehair lace and is adorned with a lovely horsehair ruffle. And some jet trim on the front. The only thing I have changed is to add trim to cover the exposed wire frame and reattach some of the trim, otherwise it is in original condition. This really is an amazing hat to have survived 160 years and still be in this condition. I have included with this a handcrafted Hatpin constructed using both vintage and new components.
