The Standard IslandHopper 29 is a wide beam vessel that provides the performance, stability, andride sought by boaters everywhere. The Island Hopper 29 offers a 12-foot beamfor unmatched stability and comfort while trolling or at anchor. She planes outquickly, providing fast speed and economical operating costs. Hull design has adeep-V entry forward changing to a flat three-degree deadrise aft. Double-widechines and a self-bailing deck are also strong points. Beam at widest point is12 feet. Hull construction is of hand-laminated glass, woven roving of eight to18 laminations resulting in a one- to two-inch layer in the bottom of the hull.All critical points such as chines, bow, and keel are strengthened with extralayers of glass, and the bottom is stiffened with four longitudinal stringers.Two 60-gallon fuel tanks provide long range cruising. Economical diesel enginesare standard.
